After what seemed like a creepier (secret codes and mysterious videos) version of Daft Punk's lead up to the announcement of a new album, Boards of Canada released a new single today. "Reach for the Dead" opens ominously, with ambient noise giving way to a building melody that finally hits during the last third of the track. Obviously the legendary artists know what they are doing and the song easily evokes the open empty deserts used in promotional stills and footage for the upcoming album. That record, Tomorrow's Harvest, is set to be released on June 11 in the US.
