I had my reservations about Brooklyn snyth dance duo Holy Ghost! when I first saw them live. Seeing them open for Cut Copy in Toronto a couple years back, the act kind of reminded me of a boy band, had they messed around with Mac Books and keyboards rather than work on their dance moves. Oh, they danced too, but you get my idea. Thanks to a fellow blogger who shall remain nameless or else he will be patting himself on the back all day, I changed my tune on the group and now find myself awaiting their latest album Dynamics, set to drop later this year on DFA. The first leaked track, "Dumb Disco Ideas," is 8 mins of head bobbing, modern disco fun full of some great percussion and Daft Punk esque robotic vocals.
