Producer Jon Hopkins' original version of "Open Eye Signal" is an ethereal eight minute soundscape and one of the more powerful electronic tracks released this year. Los Angeles experimental producer Nosaj Thing has reworked the track, adding his atmospheric bass and downtempo rhythms while keeping the track's haunting vocal samples and hypnotic synth line to create a harmonious balance of the two producers' aesthetics. The track is included on the Open Eye Signal (Remixes) EP out now and look for Hopkins new LP, Immunity, out June 4th via Domino Records.
