Smith Westerns' Soft Will is slowly shaping up to be one of my more anticipated releases of this summer. The first single, "Varisty," was a slice of bubble gum nostalgia, while this morning, the Chicago act released Soft Will's latest cut, the jangle pop flavored "3am Spiritual." The melody is cut by some subtle piercing (is that an oxymoron?) keys until a warm pysch haze and retro riff adds a couple nice extra layers to the tune. Soft Will will be released on June 25th.
