Tonight's special guests on the WBNY Local Show, Cinnamon Aluminum, have always been difficult for me to describe, but the band I keep coming back to as a starting point for them is Animal Collective. The band's form of experimental dance rock can be dense and challenging, but always engaging and fun. Even their names - Hurricane Relic, Kid on Purpose, Kristachuwan, and Young Hermie - recall the aliases of AC. If you have ever caught them live, there is some Avery Tare in Cinnamon Aluminum's slightly chaotic frontman Hurricane Relic. Basically this.
