One of the more interesting collaborations to be released this year is Wise Up Ghost, the full length record from Elvis Costello and The Roots. Beginning as a Record Store Day one off, the project subsequently was fleshed out into a 14 song album. The first single, "Walk Us Uptown," is a slice of laidback funk that feels so natural that you wonder why these two didn't get together earlier. Check out the lyric video below and listen for yourself. Wise Up Ghost will be released on September 17th.
