The past couple of years have been rough on Buffalo's music scene. With the closing of Sugar City's Allentown spot, Mohawk Place, and most recently The Vault, smaller local bands have been struggling trying to find a space that suites them. Boiler 54 in Medina, NY, a not-so-distant musical oasis with an impressive high school marching band, saw this opportunity and are beginning to book quality punk, indie and harcore acts- all within driving distance! Adam Wakefield, drummer to indie punk band Tired Iron, is handling the booking. Tonight, Wakefield managed to book Tired Iron a very early show (like 7pm early) with bluesy Black Keysy Alex Feig. Doors are $5 and word on the street is there are $2 PBRs.
