Tonight: Big Star: Nothing Can Hurt Me

Big Star's reputation has grown exponentially over the past four decades as generations of new music fans continue to discover that the Memphis-based power-pop group was one of the best bands of their time. While they never had a strong commercial following, they inspired countless people to start a band.

Tonight, Squeaky Wheel will host a screening of Big Star: Nothing Can Hurt Me (7pm, $7), a feature length documentary exploring the history of the band. The film features never-before-seen concert footage, as well as interviews with many of the legendary musicians they inspired. If you want to learn more about the history of Big Star and interact with other serious fans, you'd be wise to head to this screening.
