Tonight: City of Night

Back in April, I used this platform to beg and implore you all to check out the grain elevators for Boom Days. Now it's August, and not much has changed: head down to Silo City tonight to check out City of Night. While Boom Days was a celebration of history and industry that happened to have music and arts, City of Night is a celebration of music and arts that happens to be at a historic and industrious location. If great live music, fantastic art installations (that's not a real tree growing inside) and plenty of other fun activities somehow aren't enough, stop down anyway to be a part of this exciting, symmetrical occasion.

Live music starts at 4 and doesn't end until after 1 a.m. Things might start getting weird by the time Projex takes the stage at midnight - I'd recommend periodic buddy checks. The full musical lineup can be found here, but here's a hot tip: Artvoice winners Randle and the Late Night Scandals take the stage at 8, and local favorites Lazlo Hollyfeld go on at 11. Naturally, there will be a beer tent and food trucks, and the entire event is FREE. Be there!
