Curmudgeon returns to Buffalo tonight. This Boston based band plays power violence influenced punk, full of blast beats and the occasional point where they slow it down every now and again with some sludge. Joining them is the all female hardcore band Bad Idea, also from Boston, the group plays straight forward songs. Rounding out the bill is local support from Achillea and Thaals. Achillea play heavy crusty tunes with occasional sludge while Thaals plays simple, well put together garage sometimes bringing in a great sounding keyboard. The Bird Haus, pretty much a mansion on the West Side, doesn't have shows too often, so if you have never been, check it out tonight.
