If sticky weather and trippy jam bands are your thing, head down to Canalside tonight. Tonight is this year's final Thursday at the Harbor, and as you probably know, those beer tickets do not carry over.
This year's Thursday concert series has had highlights (Los Lonely Boys) as well as lowlights (Todd Rundgren - sorry, Cliff), and Lotus should wrap things up pretty neatly. I'm expecting a sea of formulaic dancing from tonight's crowd; Lotus has a nice little electro-jam thing going on that caters to the type of crowd that usually ends up at the Harbor. A small portion of people are there for the actual band, but the majority are there for the fresh air and scenery. Lotus is perfect for both crowds: if you want to dance, they'll make you; if you want to chill, they'll let you.
Local favorites Aqueous will get things going. Things start early, so get there around 6 if you don't want to miss anything. As always, it's free.
