After a blistering rate of great show announcements in Buffalo, it seems we have leveled off for the time being. Rochester, though, just got a big one. And Rochester is close enough that I think this post is justified. Vampire Weekend, owners of one of 2013's very best albums in Modern Vampires of the City, will be making their only area stop this fall on Sunday, December 1st at the Main Street Armory in downtown Rochester. You could say the band doesn't have a thing for Buffalo, as they has bypassed us for Rochester before, but the Armory holds 6500 people. Buffalo doesn't yet have a venue that size to fit, so driving an hour down the 90 isn't the end of the world.
