Despite the misleading moniker, American Opera is not operatic in the classical sense. Instead, the folk rock band is focused on the unfolding opera of the American experience, presenting aggressive Americana fixated on sounds and stylings native to our soil. Tonight they will perform their earthy tunes at the Waiting Room (334 Delaware). Doors open at 6pm and tickets are only $7. American Opera will be accompanied by a plethora of other like-minded musicians including Andrew Hambridge, American Stories, Brian Is, and Dead Lounge.
