Following a less than successful stint at the soggy Music is Art Festival last month, Buffalo shoegaze act Weird Structures have been busy recording their debut LP, set to drop early next year. Just today, the four piece released the a track from the forthcoming album, titled "Docking Artifacts." Moving away from the celestial, driving dream pop of early single "Beeswax," "Docking Artifacts" finds the band drifting between a booming Secret Machines vibe and the Animal Collective realm of dark psychedelia as vocalist John Walsh gets his best Avey Tare-like vocals on.
You can catch the band live next month at Mr. Goodbar on November 29th. They even have a commercial for the show, which can be viewed here.
I like then all. So much that I can't compare. It's my kind.
