Tonight: Gord Downie

The Tragically Hip’s Gord Downie is many things: rock star, poet, artist, local favorite, and activist, and tonight he’ll be all of the above when he kick’s off the 2013 Conference On The Environment at the Adam’s Mark Hotel. Billed as an “Evening With Gord Downie,” it will feature Gord playing songs off of his two solo albums Coke Machine Glow and The Big Bounce, exploring his poetry, and discussing water conservation and the Great Lakes as a member of the Lake Ontario Waterkeepers, a subject that should be near and dear to the hearts of ALL Western New Yorkers. Honestly, if there’s one cause all of us can get behind, it’s protecting the magnificent natural resource so many take for granted. Who know's? Maybe if we're good boys and girls Gord will treat us to some of his legendary spoken word stylings.

Tickets are $25 and this one of a kind special event starts at 7:30 PM in the Adam’s Mark main conference hall.
