"Most people are good people." A
wide-eyed kid claims this as he is being interrogated by Well Worn Boot's The Plainsman and
feeding him his philosophy.
Another bar patron chimes in,
"Bullshit!"
Plainsman gets excited. "It's getting
fucking super intense outside of this bar right now. We have two people with
differing opinions!"
A debate ensues that ends in a handshake, but
Plainsman pays little attention, playing with his camera like a child's toy on
Christmas morning. He's more interested in something else.
"It's party time in Boulder… and I'm
getting fucked up!"
Getting fucked up is exactly what he does during BUMRUSH!, in
between busking, getting free tacos, searching for the Cup Espresso Cafe, and generally
terrorizing the locals. He narrates the journey with a bravado filled voice that
sounds like a cross breed of Hunter Thompson and Johnny Bravo when he gets
excited.
Documenting everything around him and mainly
himself, The Plainsman gives viewers a video tour through Boulder from his somewhat
askew perspective. It’s a poignant documentary that will touch you in the
swimsuit area. His glorious journey among street performers and drum circles
hits some rough patches, but he always knows how to roll back into a good vibe.
What's it all about? That's what Plainsman wants to know. He inquires
among the residents of Boulder, getting different answers almost every time. What
is Boulder, Colorado? What does it mean?
Do you want to know? Watch the movie. It’s an amusing romp with
the ever-entertaining frontman for Well Worn Boot as he struggles to find his place in Boulder. The film is just over 20
minutes, so the time it cuts off of your life is minimal. You'll survive. You can view it below.
