Buffalo Space Pop Act, Spirit Choir, Debuts EP

The "Buffalo" tag in Bandcamp has been mighty generous to the blog lately. Just released a couple weeks ago, Spirit Choir, the self titled debut from the one man bedroom project, is a six track collection of lo-fi, space pop. Sounding like the playful cousin to fellow Buffalo act Weird Structures, Spirit Choir combines the ambient side of Animal Collective with a dialed down on the weirdness version of Ariel Pink, along with some early Apples in Stereo for good measure. If you are looking for a place to start, check out track 2, "Have You Seen a Bela Kiss." Its a cut of loose and sprawling post-rock that Broken Social Scene has been perfecting over the last decade.
