Yesterday 20-year-old Buffalo emcee Bill $aber released his highly anticipated debut mixtape on datpiff.com titled King of Lions. After numerous uploads on YouTube and Soundcloud, $aber finally found time in between “killing pussy“ and “be(ing) on (his) shit“ to record a noteworthy 24 song deep musical jewel. The rapper’s name stems from a combination of two of Buffalo’s major cultural assets, the Buffalo Bills and the Buffalo Sabres. This took me a lot more time to put together than I would like to admit. The combination of Bill $aber’s swagtastic (?) flow with impressive production via Jahlil Beats and RTPMUZIK make this Halloween release a November listen. The highlight of the album is definitely $aber’s 90's ode aptly titled “90$ Baby,” where the emcee raps over the Nickolodeon’s Rugrats theme. Bill $aber motherfucker.
