Disco Infiltrator: November 15th

Doc Daneeka - "Walk On In (Feat. Ratcatcher)"
While the anthem label gets thrown around readily in the dance music community, few tracks have the sheer replay value as this track by Berlin producer Doc Daneeka. Built around a soaring vocal sample, the hazy synths and gorgeous piano riff make for a swaying, vintage feel despite its' polished production. Having already received play from UK dj's Jamie xx and Maya Jane Coles, it's likely to pick up momentum in the weeks ahead.

Dirtytwo - "Waisted"
Sweden based producer Dirtytwo delivers a straightforward, yet highly emotive classic house track with "Waisted." String samples help carry the loose groove along with soulful vocals to create a clean, melodic sound. The track was released on The Baryard EP this past week which also includes the similarly flavored "Talkin' 2 U," both of which are in line with the well-paced, classic house sound that Swedish label Local Talk is known for churning out.

 Bicep - "Satisfy"
Production duo Bicep has become known for their House tracks that sound straight out of the 90's and their latest cut, "Satisfy," is no exception. With analogue production marked by raw breakbeat percussion and confident vocals that perfectly capture the pair's throwback aesthetic, it's as big of a tune as you'll hear in any genre.

Kele Okereke - "Heartbreaker"
That fact that Bloc Party lead singer/guitarist Kele Okereke is able to gracefully transition from indie rock to house doesn't come as much of a surprise given the band's dance-punk sound, but from the sound of "Heartbreaker," the artist could easily be mistaken as a veteran of club music production. Okereke gave the following enthusiastic statement regarding the release on Crosstown Rebels; "I’ve always loved the inclusive and spiritual nature of house music, so the opportunity to make music for the most iconic and influential house music label in the UK is a dream come true for me." The single is out November 25th on vinyl and December 9th digitally.

Mix of the Week: Floating Points - "You're A Melody #1"
