buffaBLOG's Best of 2013


After, in this writer's opinion at least, last year's weak collection of new music, 2013 was an overwhelmingly great year. New artists made splashes with impressive debuts and great catalogs from long time acts continued to grow. Personally, I found that last year was extremely difficult for me to find a handful of good releases to discuss, but this year's greatest challenge will be whittling down my list of at least a half a dozen albums that easily could have topped my list in 2012. Having too music good music is never a bad thing...

Setting some of our regular coverage aside for a few weeks, beginning tomorrow, the blog will begin to dissect the music of 2013, from our favorite shows to the singles we can't stop playing to the albums that defined our year. We will also reach out to a new cast of friends of the blog to share with you their favorite music of the year. And finally, we will share with you our favorite songs from both Buffalo and our sister city to the east, Rochester.

 Please check in throughout the month. Let us know what you like and what you didn't. We hope you loved 2013's offerings in music as much as we did.
