Just Announced: Manchester Orchestra

After a long three-year hiatus, Manchester Orchestra is back with a new single(see below) and a new album, titled Cope, set to drop on April 1st. These guys specialize in dirty, southern-ish anthems that bring to mind Neutral Milk Hotel and Built to Spill, but tinged with just the right amount of Brand New-like anger and angst... Not to mention Andy Hull's soul-crushing lyrics and the band's uncanny shiver-inducing sense of dynamics.

The band will be making its return to Buffalo on Tuesday, May 20th, at the Town Ballroom. Concertgoers are almost guaranteed a spiritual experience during the emotional breakdown of songs like "Colly Strings" or "Everything to Nothing." Joining MO will be Bad Books collaborator Kevin Devine and Balance and Composure, both of whom just had successful headlining shows of their own throughout this past month. Tickets will go on sale this Friday, January 24th, at 10am for $16.50 in advance/$21 day of.
