High Drags Records Live Session for "Empires"


Rochester ex-pats/sibling song machine, High Drags, released on YouTube this week a live session featuring the song "Empires." We haven't heard much from the now California-based five piece since their highly impressive three song EP, The V-Mixtape, released more than a year ago. High Drags' new material seems to be distancing from their previous electro-pop beginnings, with sounds more similar to that of sultrier Cold War Kids or Dirty Projectors. 

 With word that High Drags will be releasing new material in March, Southern California would be wise to check out their set (if anyone in Southern California actually reads this). In the meantime, we'll wait for their nationwide tour and booking on a future buffaBLOG showcase.
