Brooklyn via Minneapolis rock act the Hold Steady is primed to return to Buffalo later this spring on Tuesday, April 8th with a show at the Town Ballroom. The band is prepping for the release of Teeth Dreams, its sixth studio album and second since the departure of keyboardist/secret weapon Franz Nicolay, a departure that I don't think the band has quite yet recovered from still, at least in its recordings. Regardless of how you may feel about the new albums, few acts can match the band's raucous energy on stage. Their soggy inner harbor show was the best part of the Thursday at Canalside lineup this past summer and April's show should be no different.
