Queen City Music Lottery Band, wearemoverealfastSTOP, Releases First Song

Over the last two Saturdays, the Queen City Music Lottery has spit out over a dozen new, original acts, combining solo artists and band members from all across the Buffalo music scene. Band names have begun to be selected (Plosive, Walrus Avulsion & the Nardwhals, Eat Ate Eaten are some of the early faves), and with a showcase set for Sat, April 5th at the Foundry (298 Northampton St.), groups are already busy practicing and aiming to release tracks.

The first bit of music from the lotto bands debuted on bandcamp this morning from Band #13, also known as wearemoverealfastSTOP (we think), which features members of Lesionread and Cross Stitch. The sort-of-untitled demo is a fun, sloppy cut of Gang Gang Dance, Rapture, or Yyys style dance punk featuring Shawn Lewis on vocals. Listen to the song below and keep an eye out for further music released from QCML acts.
