Mardi Gras, which if my research has misled me, correctly translates to the festival of beads and breasts. The whole shebang gets kicked off with Fat Tuesday, which is the day before Ash Wednesday (the goofy christian thing involving ashes and foreheads). Let’s face it: Fat Tuesday is a day that rightfully should have been dreamed up in a Buffalo dive bar. It’s an evening chocked full of breasts, beads, and regretful decisions fueled by liquid courage (which comes in a variety of flavors). That’s just a Tuesday to us Buffalonians. Aside from being a day full of DBB (drinking, beads and breasts), there happens to be some pretty awesome local music going on at all of your favorite rust belt haunts.
