Medlar - "Tap Spring"
London DJ/Producer Medlar makes house tracks with a heavy jazz influence, favoring loose grooves and soulful sampling. His dream-like debut LP, Sleep, was released last year on WOLF music to favorable reviews. On March 21st, the Sleep Remixes EP will be released as a vinyl exclusive, which includes the track "Tap Spring," showing off a more mellow, tribal sound from the producer.

The latest of his often experimental productions, "3xtr^," shows off grime and UK bass influences, with hard-hitting, tenacious percussion. With a sound that brings to mind London's Night Slugs label, the producer balances melodic synth work with tight bass and drum work to create an ambitious, highly resonant track. Listen below.
