Tonight: Graph Rabbit

After gracing the living room of Boratin/Tanner residence earlier this summer, Brooklyn's Graph Rabbit will be returning to Western NY this evening, this time to the comfy confines of the Ninth Ward. Fans of the Album Leaf, Dntel, and Radiohead at their most tender would be wise to check out the electronic folk duo, whose minimal analog sounds, autumnal guitar picking, and hushed vocals could not have been more perfect fit for the intimate setting of the Babeville basement.

Local do-it-all musician Sonny Baker will open up the evening with a solo set of his ever growing catalog. Tickets are $10 at the door. Music begins at 8pm.

Tonight: House Concert w/Graph Rabbit

If you are looking for a different type of show setting this summer, then you should keep Marty Boratin and Susan Tanner's long running house show series on your radar. Located at the couple's home in Hamburg (7341 Nelson Drive), the two have been entertaining guests a handful of times each summer with dinner, drinks, and music. Tonight, the two welcome Brooklyn duo Graph Rabbit (think electronic side of Album Leaf with vocals) to their home.

While music kicks off at 8pm, if you are looking to get some food before, the pot-luck dinner begins at 6pm. Bring a dish to share, a blanket and/or chairs to sit on as, with weather permitting, all of the festivities will take place outdoors, and a $5-10 donation to help cover food and music costs. You can even bring a tent and stay the night if you take part in a few too many cocktails. Buffalo's A Relative Term kicks the night of music off at 8pm.
