Everybodies favorite reggae-loving jew, Matisyahu, will be hitting up Town Ballroom tonight (7:30pm) and he won't be alone. Accompanying him will be SoCal's rock/hip-hop/reggae hybrid, the Dirty Heads. Both acts have amassed quite the cult following in the last few years and both represent how reggae culture has expanded beyond its rastaffarian roots, travelling the world around and being re-interpreted as it crosses borders and genres. The concert will be filmed for AXS TV so if you want your dance moves to forever be immortalized there's no better night than tonight. $32 will get you in the door.

Hanukkah is now underway, and to celebrate, click below for a video of Matisyahu playing his Hannukah song called "Miracle" on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno a few weeks ago. Remember Matisyahu? I recall buying his album Live at Stubb's when I was in high school and being pleasantly surprised at the hip-hop-infused, reggae-meets-religion vibe. It's good to see that he's still performing.
