Just Announced: An epic double bill will be hitting The Town Ballroom this spring as The Walkmen and The New Pornographers will be playing together on April 25th. Keeping our fingers crossed that Neko Case will be along with the NPs after her Thursday in the Sqaure show was cancelled last year. Look for us in the front row for this one.

Just Announced: Iron & Wine. Sam Beam and co. will bring their new material to the Town Ballroom on April 15th. I still get compliments when I wear the I&W t-shirt I got last time they played Buffalo at Babeville. In related news, the band's new album Kiss Each Other Clean is streaming in its entirety right here!
If they don't make it to Buffalo, we can always count on Toronto to get the show... Cut Copy April 7th at Sound Academy!
Just Announced: Twin Shadow stops by The Mohawk Place on May 1st. Twin Shadow's LP 'Forget' received the prestigious award of being Pitchfork's #26 album of 2010. A pretty damn good accomplishment considering the uber critical music website once gave music a 6.8.
Just Announced: Zola Jesus will grace our presence April 19th at Mohawk Place. Those unfamiliar with Zola should check out this music video for the song 'Night' which reminds me of a more danceable Fever Ray and the movie Tron. What a babe.
Just Announced: Recent buzz bands Cults & The Magic Kids will make their visit to The Nickle City April 5th @ Soundlab. Both of these bands made it onto NME's 50 Best New Bands of 2010 (#16 & #45 respectively) and share that kids-on-the-playground musical styling. In related news, Cults released a single with DOM earlier today titled 'bowl cut' which you can listen to here.

Friends and favorites of buffaBLOG, Love Scenes, have announced a new show via their myspace. The date is set for January 22nd at Filigrees Gallery & Boutique on Elmwood. Here is the link to the event, hope to see you all there!
Congratulations to The Tin's for making Pretty Much Amazing's Top 100 songs of 2010! Their song 'The Green Room' made it at #69! check it out.
