Tonight: You You Dark Forest, Backbiter, Young Suns, and more.

Fans of atonal noise and anything avant-garde will get a kick out of this one.  No, but seriously, the anti-harmonists in You You Dark Forest will be hitting the Turnaround with support from Buffalo's finest pop-scorning artists.  This includes sludge/crust band Backbiter and the ever brutal Young Suns.  Rounding out the lineup will be a set from The Patterns.

The show is at The Turnaround located at 180 Winspear.  Starts at 8.  Get there early and donations are only $2-5, otherwise it's $4-5.  Can't argue with that!

Tonight: The Max Levine Ensemble

Hailing from the Washington DC area, The Max Levine Ensemble is a power trio that specialize in socially-aware pop punk.  Their infectious blend of 80's hardcore with pop inflections is enough to make anyone want to get a little bint rowdy or at least cause a bit of mischief. The heavily DIY three-piece started in 2000 as a cover band specializing in songs their good friend, Max Levine, requested.  Though they have concentrated on originals since then, they kept the name as an homage to their friend.  These guys are everything a good punk pop band should be - literate and political while still being fun.

They will be playing the Turnaround(180 Winspear Ave) tonight with The Crackhorse and Mapmaker.  If you get there before the first band starts playing, the show is only $3, otherwise, you can get in for $5.
