For years, rock radio had been held captive by bloated, Creed-rock, Nu-metal and the like. It was a pretty dismal time for us lovers of the power chord. Thats why it was so refreshing when, in the early 2000's, real rock'n'roll made a comeback. Leading the charge were bands like the Strokes, the Hives and Interpol. Closer to home, a band called Vice Transmission was making waves on the local scene. With just the right amount of swagger, attitude and riffage, there was a moment when a few of us (myself included) thought Vice Transmission would go on to greater heights and possibly even "make it". Unfortunately after just one EP and demo the band called it quits, leaving us to wonder what could have been. Which begs the question...anyone remember Vice Transmission?
