Another new Radiohead song surfaces

When Radiohead's King of Limbs was released out of nowhere a couple months back, there were plently of rumors flying around that a second album would soon follow from band.  Given the relative shortness of the album (8 tracks), and the possible lyrical hints in album closer "Separator" ("if you think this is over then you're wrong"), most fans, including myself, expected a complimenting additional release.  Well it's now mid June and it does not look like it is coming.  No bother though as the band is still putting out new songs.  They released the "Super Collider/The Butcher" split single on Record Store Day, which was also made available as a free download to those who did a pre-sale purchase King of Limbs online.

Next month, BBC Worldwide will air From the Basement, a session with long time producer Nigel Goodrich.   This will be the first opportunity to hear music from King of Limbs live.  This marks the second time the band went down this route, having had a similar broadcast back in 2008 introducing their most recent album at the time, the amazing In Rainbows.  For the upcoming broadcast, another new song, titled "Staircase", will be included.  The song came from the King of Limbs recording sessions, but did not make the final track listing of the album, although it would have fit in perfectly with the more rhythm heavy first half of the album.  Regardless of when the next Radiohead album is out, the band is always keeping fans happy with their frequent release of new tracks.
