At Odd Future's (aka Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All) show on Oct. 30th at New Orleans' Voodoo Experience, there was a little tension between the group and photographers after Tyler the Creator went on a tangent about his hatred for photographers, and rapper / producer "Left Brain" (born Vyron Turner) got into an altercation with a photographer. After Odd Future's publicist made a statement on Pitchfork denying that Turner did anything but slap cameras, photographer Amy Harris decided to press charges. On a statement Harris' made on her website after her charges were made public, she said that she decided to press charges after receiving death threats, and from the lack of remorse from Odd Future's publicity. Harris claims there are photos and possibly video of the incident, and though the threatening e-mail may have come from an overzealous fan, she is taking steps to protect herself. This is not a great way to end a year for OFWGKTA, who has been gaining much underground hype, and after releasing three of the year's best hip hop albums (OFWGKTA's Odd Future Songs, Tyler's Goblin, MellowHype's BlackendWHITE), was dropped from a festival in New Zealand because of homophobic lyrics. He is being charged with battery, and if convicted, faces a fine of $1000 and up to six months in jail. The photo above of Left Brain, is from the Voodoo Festival, and was taken by Amy Harris.
