Good new wave is hard to come by. For every band that tries to sound like Depeche Mode or the Killers, theres a million more that sound, frankly, like shit. Dance music in general is more than it's sound. It's about incorporating those synthy backdrops with great songwriting. Which is why it's refreshing to find a band that can appreciate and incorporate good pop hooks and get you interested enough in the music to care. Voices is a great example. These dudes do right by indie-infused dance anthems. Check out their music and form your own opinion though.
