Tonight: Lucinda Williams

Tonight blues / folk legend Lucinda Williams hits the Town Ballroom as part of her 2011 tour. Williams has been a part of the American music scene since the late 70's, and her style is definitively Americana. In her 30+ years in music, she has recorded nearly a dozen studio albums, has an array of live DVD's, and dedicated herself to the craft of creating music. She has collaborated with an exorbitant amount musicians, ranging from country musicians like Nanci Griffith or Terry Allen, to modern folk-infused or bluegrass rock like Leftover Salmon and Flogging Molly. She has an exceptional dedication to her fans, and constantly goes above and beyond for them. She even was married on stage at one of her concerts in 2008 to her husband, Universal Music executive Tom Overby. Though it is doubtful there will be a repeat wedding anytime soon, she no doubt will be running on all cylinders for tonight's Ballroom show. Stuff gets started at around 7pm, and if you don't have your tickets yet they will cost you $34 at the door.
