Tonight: Dubstep Demolition Night

Ah Dubstep. That bass heavy digital madness that you can't seem to escape these days. It's everywhere from car commercials, to the clubs, to Target ads to Korn songs(?). Is there no end people!?!?! I mean, really, how many times can you listen to a bass drop?

Don't get me wrong. I like electronic music. I even like dubstep. But you can't help but feel smothered when it's all you hear every time you go out. It's like when Marcy Playground released "Sex and Candy" and that's all you heard for a whole year. Ok, I'm dating myself....

Tonight, we celebrate the destruction of a genre (not really) whilst celebrating all that is awesome in Buffalo punk rock (really). The Shaken Stylus crew have organized their Dubstep Demolition Night, a tribute to all things rock'n'roll. Some great bands are playing including the Narcs, Chosen Ones, the Emersons, KDC, BEARDAGE and the awesomely named Simon and Garfuckyourself. Come on out to Soundlab tonight and see these artists perform sans Macs and turntables and bring it back to simpler times when a fuck you simply meant screaming into a mic and hitting a mean chord. Shows at 9.
