Uncovered Cover: The Limousines "You Can Call Me Al"
As a kid, Paul Simon's "You Can Call Me Al" was always a favorite of mine. Truthfully, I still hold most Paul Simon pretty close to my heart. His soft voice combined with excellent guitar work makes for some real happy music. "You Can Call Me Al," is just a really uplifting song and the replacement music video staring a very animated Chevy Chase lip syncing the entire song. Todays rendition comes from San Franciso Indie-electronic band, The Limousines. Not an easy task to cover Paul Simon, but The Limousines actually add some body and soul to this tune. Their dancy/electronic sound gives this great song a whole new look. Simon may never hear this cover, but I have to believe he would approve.
