I know what you're thinking. Social? Really? Why you reppin' a Chippewa club Jon? Truth be told I was never a fan of the establishment...until recently. In the past couple months, the staff has worked hard at making Social a legit club, complete with good music, good people and good times. One of the new weeklys, Wednesday Night DJ nights, has been growing exponentially in the past month or two. I happened to check it out last week and was thoroughly impressed with the atmosphere and the music. Nothing brings a bigger smile to my face than walking down Chippewa and hearing the Adolescents "Amoeba" blasting. In fact, the whole night the music was on point with other choice cuts from early SoCal and English punk bands, as well as an assortment of b-side gems, courtesy of DJ Ruben. Best of all its FREE. If you've never been, I strongly suggest checking it out. Action starts around 10pm.
