Buffalo radio for the most totally sucks. Other than 91.3 (when they're not doing "talk shows") it's a downright shame, and in many ways Buffalo radio is holding Buffalo back as a music city. There. I said it. The cheese factor at 97 Rock during the day is shocking (at night Slick Tom keeps it a bit more real), 103.3 is almost entirely unlistenable, and worse the stuff from Canada has taken a turn for the lame as of late. The situation frankly, is grim. I say all that because the Albrights are like good radio, their indie power pop a recent history of radio ear candy that goes for broke and really tickles all the right spots. I have to work Saturday, but once that bell metaphorically rings I'll be heading down to the Broadway Market immediately after for the buffaBLOG Broadway Market Rooftop Extravaganza so I can maybe score me some fried chicken, get my infringement on, and hopefully see The Albrights. You however should get there promptly at 1 PM so you too can get your infringement on, see all of the great bands slated to appear, and definitely see The Albrights (and maybe score some fried chicken). Good times folks. Good times.
