Over the weekend, electronic noisemakers (and possible wizards), Sparklebomb and YesYes released a collaborative single to mark YesYes' departure from the city. "Our Blood is Made of Eagle$" is a short burst of amazing ideas, a wonderful cacophony barely contained by a droning beat. Garbled tape samples of vocals (possibly from Sparklebomb's enviable archive of lost phone calls) intersperse, gradually building in intensity until the track ends in a crash while also somehow vaguely reminding me of the disappointment I feel whenever I lose a game of Missle Command.
