Tonight: Diplo at Pearl Nightclub in Rochester

If you read The Drum Machine Report on Thursday then you're already aware that super producer Diplo will be performing just a short ride down the 90 at Pearl Nightclub in Rochester this evening.  The man was born Wesley Pentz in Tupelo, Mississippi, grew up all over the South and eventually ended up in Philly, where he began making a name for himself as a DJ while attending
Temple University.  He adopted a shortening of Diplodocus as his moniker due to his childhood love of Dinosaurs.  Together with DJ Low Budget under the blanket of Hollertronix, Diplo grew to be a dance party favorite, and his popularity has been spreading ever since.  Whether it's with his with his Jamaican dancehall project Major Lazer, his love of Brazilian Favela Funk, or one of the countless artists he produces through Mad Decent, Diplo has a knack for bringing a fun, worldly sound to any venue.  Tonight, he performs at the excitingly intimate Pearl Nightclub, which is sure to sell out.  So waste no time getting your boogying shoes on, cause tonight's going to be a dance party for the ages.  The show starts at 9 pm, with a little help from Steve Kream, Skanntron, and Mario Bee.
