The Knife started making music back in 1999 but didn't gain international attention until their song "Heartbeats" covered by Jose Gonzalez was used in a Sony commercial. Since then, so many people have followed in line and covered the song. The original as well as the covers are absolutely terrific. British pop singer Ellie Goulding very recently covered the song in a similar style to Gonzalez's while experimental jazz artist Marco Benevento did his own unique version on his 2009 album Me Not Me. In 2006, Belgian Girl's Choir Scala & Kolacny Brothers included a beautiful rendition of the song on their album, It All Leads to This. In addition to the many covers, the song has been used in numerous mash-ups and remixes. If you're not familiar with the original make sure you listen to it below as well as the amazing covers and remixes. Trust me, you cannot get sick of this song... its that good.
