Weekly Remix: Brainbheats takes on Cults

April is right around the corner and it seems that the summer concert season is getting an early start as the month is full of great shows.  One of the shows that a few of us at buffaBLOG are really looking forward to is the Cults & Magic Kids show next week at Sound Lab.  Cults have been making noise for about a year now as they seem to release a great new single every few months.  With their debut album set to drop sometime in late spring, it will be interesting to see if they can pack a full album worth of great songs.

"Go Outside" has been my favorite single of the duo so far.  The sunny, dreamy vocals and the simple xylophone melody have classic pop songs written all over it.  Brian Healey, musician and producer who goes by the name of Brainbheats took the song and added a very trance opening, giving more of a drone feel to the song.  As it progresses, the synths and beats pick up to give the song more of a sense of urgency and a great dance feel.  The xylophone and blips mesh perfectly as the song fades to close.  Enjoy.
