Michigan based folk-fusion band The Ragbirds will be playing tonight at Nietzsche's. Forming in 2005, the rootsy group incorporates elements of world beats, Gypsy jazz , Latin pop, and Americana. The group, who are led by the vocals of mutli-instrumentalist Erin Zindle, comes across as a mix of Rusted Root and the world stylings of Paul Simon's Graceland era. Opening tonight for the Ragbirds will be the bluegrass group Erie Lackawanna Railroad. who recently opened up the Good Neighborhood's four part Speakeasy Sunday series in the basement of Pearl Street. Tonight's Ragbirds show with Erie Lackawanna Railroad at Nietzsche's begins at 9:00pm. Cover is $7.
