Weekly Remix: Josh Homme remixes Grinderman

Nick Cave's Grinderman project was already producing music that ventured toward dark and strange territory. But now that Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age finally got his hands on it, it really feels like it's gone off the deep end. Homme recently remixed the the 2nd self titled album opener "Micky Mouse and the Goodbye man" and truth be told, its more than a little spooky. Using studio sounds like a ticking alarm clock & ringing telephone, Homme adds a foreboding atmospheric touch to this trippy spoken word jam. The craziest part of the song however might be the overlapping vocals that Homme cuts and paste together that form one hell of a disjointed & poetic echo. Well done Josh Homme. Well done.
