In case you didn’t get the word already, OVERBOARD the dance party on a boat co-hosted by buffaBLOG and the Queen City Cartel has been CANCELED due to unforeseen circumstances. We are saddened by this unfortunate news; however, refunds will be issued to those who purchased tickets, and re-staging the event will be a priority. Thank you for your continued support. The scheduled after-party, now dubbed the random party, will still be at DBGB’s tonight, for which the details will follow. If that is any consolation, the after party is now THE party!
So I was out of town last week, and when I left Buffalo everything was seemingly fine. The weather was breaking, people were calm and content. And upon returning, people are acting like they’re bat-shit-eating crazy! Hopefully its just the full moon, or the Summer solstice approaching, but there is something in the air stirring up the pot of trouble. Something that wants to take Buffalo, and put her in a blender with some margarita mix, and frappe all of us into melty sticky Summer slush drowned in booze. Maybe it’s just a premonition, but be on the lookout for debauchery bubbling up in the early morning hours.

Along side this very talented performer will be local DJs MEDISON, AREHOUSE, and LOONEY TUNES. If you can imagine a much cooler version of Keller Williams playing strait electro and dance, you’d get BUJ. Hopefully he’ll do his dance-rock cover of Pink Floyd’s “Another Brick in the Wall.” If not, he’ll hit you up with some other recognizable remix.

Over at Lucifer’s lounge will be a multi-genre high energy dance night to rival any in Buffalo featuring a myriad of DJs and styles, and headlined by AERODROMME out of Toronto. Expect to hear deep deep and minimal house/electro for most of the night, and then closed out by DHARMA LAB with their brand of psytrance and goa. Opening the event will be up-and-coming PAUL KUENZI, who I recommend checking out, if you feel like heading to DIABLO and crossing over to the dark side.
