It's been one really really long year since Photos of Wagons' played their last show in Buffalo. Obviously, I've still been an avid supporter of the local music scene but it hasn't been quite as much fun without monthly Photo shows. The band had to take a hiatus because drummer Joshua Marotta moved to New Orleans to further his music career, as well as Grant Schulte moving to Brooklyn to play in his indie-rock band Antics. Tonight they are celebrating the release of their new album Welcome Home which features all the tracks that were recorded throughout their days playing here in Buffalo that were never released. The album will be available to buy at the show. Photos of Wagons normally features Brad Gower on lead vocals and guitar, Evan Kaderbeck on guitar, Dan Svesson on bass, Josh Marotta on drums and Grant Schulte on guitar..... unfortunately Schulte cannot make it town tonight. To make up for Schulte's poor attendance several different local guitarist will be sitting in. Photos of Wagons sent us an exclusive track from the album they haven't released yet called "Muffintops" that you can hear below. Also make sure you check out their exclusive interview they did with Artvoice where Marotta and Gower had a very romantic picnic together while discussing the new album. The show starts at 10pm with The Tins opening up the show.
