Neon Indian releases first single from sophmore album

Neon Indian's debut album Psychic Chasms, despite being lumped into the sometimes groan inducing(although not from this writer) chillwave genre, was alot more fun than some releases of the genre.  The synth heavy songs made you want to dance, rather than go to sleep.  His two visits to Soundlab over the last couple years only further proved this point.  While normally quite stoic at shows, I could not help but get caught up in the fun.  On September 13th, Neon Indian will release their sophmore album Era Extrana.  The album's first single, titled "Fallout", is a slow burning shoegazy number with distant, echoy vocals from lead man Alan Palomo, combining the romanticism of M83 with the more new wave elements of 80's shoegaze artists, a welcome bit of departure from songs like "Terminally Chill" and "Should Have Taken With You."
