The Buffalo Harbor does its best revolving door impression tonight, as it ushers out the Tragically Hip (who played a sold out show last night), and ushers in Celtic punk rockers Flogging Molly. Ever since Flogging Molly's appearance at 2000's Vans' Warped Tour in LaSalle Park, the band has amassed an enormous, cult like following in the Buffalo area, and now appears annually every summer. They mix classic Irish music with punk, embodying both the at times somber nature of traditional Celtic music, with an electric energy, and the spirit of West Coast punk rock. They bring it every time they are on stage, and tonight should be no different. Opening up for them will be Sublime tribute outfit, and Buffalo faves, Badfish. The Rhode Island tribute act sells out the Town Ballroom every time they are in town, and combined with FM, should rival the crowd the Hip had last night. Traditionally, Badfish opens up with a set of original music, and then breaks into their Sublime act, but tonight might forgo some of their original material thanks to the format of the Harbor show. The show starts at 6 pm, and tickets are $20 if you don't already have them.
