Leslie Feist, or just Feist to most of you, has alot of pressure on her. Her 2007 album The Reminder was HUGE. Could you go anywhere without hearing the tracks "I Feel It All" or "1234"? The latter of course was featured in one of my all time favorite, a star is born David Letterman performances, featuring a who's who of indie rockers on backing vocals. The Candian solo artist and frequent Broken Social Scenester's follow up to The Reminder, the highly anticpated Metals, drops on October 4th. Given that I feel I am obligated to listen to any band on Broken Social Scene's Arts & Crafts label (they handle Feist's Canadian distribution), this is another great fall release, along with Wilco, M83, and Real Estate, that I am looking forward to. While casual fans may at first be disppointed that the single is not another "1234", the laid back bluesy "How Come You Never Go There" reassures at least this writer that she may not have to worry at all about that pressure.
